Global Medical Advancements
Have you ever watched a sci-fi movie and thought, “Wow, that would be cool if it was real!” Yet, if you look at the history of medicine, more advances have occurred in the last 50 years than in all time. So, where will medicine go from here? Medical procedures or devices are used to prevent, relieve, treat, or cure the symptoms of human suffering caused by a disease or an accident. Medical inventions have existed for thousands of years and are constantly improving or innovating. In this lesson, students will research how medicine has changed throughout history through enhancements in design.
