Tulsa Massacre of 1921

Black Wall Street Massacre (1921)

Deemed as the single most destruction massacre in American History, the Tulsa Race Massacre of Greenwood 1921.

Sarah Page (17 Anglo-American, elevator operator) accused Dick Rowland (19 African-American shoe-shiner) of assaulting her in an elevator. News quickly spread of his arrest. Both races, armed to the hilt, joined outside the courthouse, but evenings end - a massacre ensued. The attack on Black residents from White residents resulted in 800 hospitalized, 6000+ wounded, 36-300 dead (number disputed), 10,000 people left homeless, and property damage into $32 million in modern-day dollars.
